Nicușor Dan și USR, lovitură de la Senat. Legea hidrocentralelor din ariile protejate a trecut fără observațiile președintelui

The Romanian Senate approved a law allowing modifications to protected natural areas for hydroenergy projects, despite opposition from USR lawmakers. The law aims to unblock seven hydroenergy projects that were halted since 2007. Critics argue it may lead to environmental infringement issues with the EU. President Nicușor Dan has challenged the law, citing concerns over environmental impact and outdated evaluations. The law stipulates that if hydroenergy projects were approved before June 29, 2007, their areas can be modified within 60 days. The final decision now rests with the Chamber of Deputies.
