Nicușor Dan și Meloni cer protejarea fondurilor de coeziune și agricultură în bugetul UE

President Nicușor Dan and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni convened leaders from the 'Friends of Cohesion' group to advocate for adequate EU budget resources. They emphasized the need for fair contributions from member states and the protection of cohesion and agricultural funding. Dan announced a unified stance for the upcoming EU budget negotiations for 2028-2034, focusing on four key priorities: ensuring sufficient resources, safeguarding cohesion and agricultural policies, establishing equitable contributions, and eliminating budget rebates. Romania aims to maintain significant allocations for these policies in future EU budgets, coordinating with 16 member states to support regional development and agriculture funding.
