The incident occurred on August 20, 80 miles east of Constanța, prioritizing the safety of workers and critical infrastructure. The Romanian Air Force's F-16s engaged the drone after it was reported by a commercial vessel. Ukrainian authorities confirmed the drone did not originate from Ukraine.
