During the UN General Assembly in New York, Romanian President Nicușor Dan met with Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye to discuss bilateral cooperation. They addressed ways to strengthen relations between Romania and Senegal, and Dan congratulated Faye on his recent presidency of ECOWAS. Dacian Cioloș, a presidential advisor and candidate for the Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie, also participated in the discussions. Additionally, Dan met with Guinea's President Mamadi Doumbouya to reaffirm commitments to deepen cooperation in various sectors. Dan is in New York for the 81st UN General Assembly session, where he will deliver a national speech.
