President Nicușor Dan believes Russia is currently unprepared for genuine negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. In a CNN interview, he emphasized the need for continued Western support for Ukraine and economic pressure on Moscow. He noted that Russia's economic struggles might eventually lead to negotiations, although he does not foresee this happening soon. The U.S. is attempting to mediate talks between Moscow and Kyiv, but progress has stalled. Dan highlighted the importance of supporting Ukraine, which has faced challenges in air defense capabilities. He pointed out that the issue lies not only in willingness but also in the production capacity of Western industries to supply necessary military equipment.
