Nicușor Dan anunță o miză uriașă în relația cu India: schimburi comerciale de două ori mai mari în următorii ani

Romania aims to double its trade with India in the coming years, as stated by President Nicușor Dan at the Romania-India Business Forum. The event coincided with the state visit of India's President Droupadi Murmu. Dan emphasized the significance of this visit for bilateral relations, highlighting India's position as the world's fourth-largest economy and the potential for collaboration. Current trade between the two nations is approximately $1.3 billion, with Romania seeking to double this figure, aided by the EU-India free trade agreement. Over 600 Indian companies operate in Romania, creating over 10,000 jobs, particularly in pharmaceuticals, IT, and automotive sectors. Key areas for future partnerships include energy, technology, defense, and IT.
