NATO has approved the expansion of its fuel pipeline network to the East, with Romania set to receive approximately €2.15 billion for infrastructure development. This project aims to enhance logistical capabilities along the Eastern Flank, addressing security needs highlighted by the Ukraine conflict. The new pipelines will serve both military and civilian purposes, strengthening Romania's strategic role within NATO. The initiative marks a significant investment of €27 billion over 20 years, the largest of its kind in NATO's history.
