President Nicușor Dan announced that PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR failed to reach an agreement on the Salary Law despite months of negotiations. He criticized the delay of this essential reform since 2022, emphasizing the urgency of the matter. Dan acknowledged the parties' commitment to not submit separate proposals in Parliament and their agreement to adopt the law by the end of the year, adhering to the salary envelope set with the European Commission. He noted that while the law is nearly finalized, the political decision will determine the distribution of salaries among various professional categories.
