Nicușor Dan has enacted the 'Prosumer Law', allowing surplus energy to offset bills for other consumption sites. This law introduces monthly billing for energy supplied to the grid and enables prosumers to use generated energy credits for electricity and gas bills. The legislation expands rights for individual prosumers with installations up to 27 kW, allowing them to apply credits across multiple properties. It also raises the power limit for compensation requests to 400 kW and increases the threshold for exemption from imbalance payments to 900 kW. The law aims to enhance the renewable energy sector in Romania.
