Nicușor Dan a promulgat legea care corectează situațiile controversate privind TVA: „Vine în sprijinul contribuabililor afectați”

Romanian President Nicușor Dan has enacted a law to cancel certain VAT obligations and penalties retroactively for affected taxpayers, allowing them to recover previously paid amounts. This law addresses inequities in VAT application, particularly for those whose VAT codes were annulled and who did not collect VAT from clients. The measure is not a blanket cancellation of VAT obligations, as it does not apply to those who charged VAT separately or collected it from customers. Taxpayers who have already paid these amounts can request refunds. The National Agency for Fiscal Administration is tasked with establishing the implementation procedure within 30 days.
