Nicușor Dan a promulgat legea care corectează situațiile controversate privind TVA: „Vine în sprijinul contribuabililor afectați"

The Romanian President Nicușor Dan has enacted a law that cancels certain VAT obligations and penalties retroactively for affected taxpayers, allowing them to recover previously paid amounts. This law addresses inequities in VAT application, particularly for those whose VAT codes were annulled and who did not collect VAT from clients but faced retroactive tax obligations. The measure is not a blanket cancellation of VAT obligations, as it does not apply to those who charged VAT on invoices. The law also allows taxpayers who have already paid these amounts to request refunds. ANAF is tasked with establishing the application procedure within 30 days.
