Nicolae Stoica – ultimul mare interbelic / O recuperare istorică după mai bine de 80 de ani

The Jean Louis Calderon Foundation, in partnership with the National Museum of Bukovina, announces the opening of the exhibition "Nicolae Stoica – the last great interwar artist" on August 12, 2026. Curated by Damian Florea, the exhibition highlights the work of a significant interwar painter whose career was disrupted by the communist regime. It features 39 oil paintings and 10 drawings from various collections, accompanied by a comprehensive monographic catalog. This event aims to restore the cultural memory of Nicolae Stoica, showcasing his contributions to Romanian art and inviting the public to rediscover his legacy.
