New Mexico dă în judecată Departamentul de Justiție al SUA în cazul Epstein | Autoritățile acuză blocarea anchetei
New Mexico has sued the U.S. Department of Justice for blocking access to crucial documents in the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein's sexual crimes. Attorney General Raúl Torrez claims federal authorities have repeatedly denied requests for essential information, hindering the state's investigation. The lawsuit was filed in Washington, D.C., and seeks to compel the DOJ to provide the requested materials. Torrez criticized the DOJ's lack of cooperation and emphasized the importance of New Mexico's role in holding Epstein's associates accountable. The DOJ stated it cannot disclose certain documents due to court orders protecting victims' identities. A preliminary report from New Mexico's House of Representatives also criticized state and federal prosecutors for focusing on Epstein's crimes outside the state.
