Previously, he had denied that Cairo warned him of an imminent attack. In an interview, Netanyahu confirmed that Abbas Kamel was in Israel for 59 minutes but did not know who he met. Reports indicated Kamel warned Israel about a major Hamas attack and urged economic concessions to avoid conflict. Additionally, it was noted that Kamel had contacted Netanyahu days before the attack, which followed ignored warnings from Egypt. Other sources also mentioned warnings from UAE's president regarding a potential Hamas attack.
