Romania may not have a fully empowered government until this autumn due to ongoing political negotiations. Party leaders are expected to resume discussions with President Nicușor Dan after August 15 to explore options for a parliamentary majority and a new prime minister. Current Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan continues to lead the interim government. Several scenarios are being considered, including a limited mandate government or a minority government supported by the Social Democratic Party. However, the National Liberal Party prefers a minority government with USR and UDMR, excluding PSD. Nicușor Dan has stated he will not nominate a prime minister until a parliamentary majority is established, leaving Romania in a state of political uncertainty.
