Nazare: SAFE aduce 2,5 miliarde de euro pentru România
Romania has received its first tranche of approximately 2.5 billion euros through the European SAFE instrument, part of a total funding of nearly 17 billion euros. The interim Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, stated that these funds will be used not only for defense capacity enhancement but also for dual-use infrastructure investments. The SAFE funding aims to provide Romania with cheaper, long-term resources for defense commitments and can support domestic industry and job creation. Key projects include strategic highway sectors in Moldova, enhancing both military mobility and regional economic development. Transparency in fund allocation and project status is emphasized.
