Nazare: Inflația a coborât rapid în ultimele luni. „România nu își permite să revină la dezechilibrele de la care a pornit”
Interim Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare reports a significant decrease in inflation and budget deficit in Romania, emphasizing the need for continued economic corrections. Inflation dropped to 6.2% in August, down from over 10% in June, marking the fastest decline in years. Despite this progress, Nazare warns that economic issues persist, particularly due to high fuel prices affecting overall costs. He highlights that nearly half of the current budget deficit is due to interest payments on past debts, which limits funding for essential services. Nazare advocates for a shift from debt-financed consumption to investment-driven growth, aiming to restore public trust in the economy and leverage opportunities for recovery through strategic investments.
