Nazare: Eforturile de combatere a evaziunii și contrabandei trebuie dublate de reguli clare

The Romanian Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, clarified new regulations regarding the quantities of tobacco and alcohol that can be brought into the country for personal use. The new rules aim to prevent repeated transportations that may indicate commercial activities. Clear time criteria have been established to differentiate occasional transport from commercial activities, with limits set for tobacco within 40 days and for alcohol within a year. The regulations also introduce penalties for exceeding limits and an electronic registry for tracking excise goods. Nazare emphasized the importance of clear laws and monitoring tools to combat tax evasion and ensure fair competition.
