Nazare, despre noua lege a salarizării: „Fiecare miliard în plus devine o obligație permanentă”

Interim Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare warns that increasing the salary envelope beyond the agreed 8 billion lei would create permanent budget obligations for Romania. He emphasizes the need for a new salary law that ensures sustainable funding for public sector salary increases in the future. Nazare highlights that public sector salaries account for nearly 40% of Romania's fiscal revenues, the highest in the EU. He stresses the importance of avoiding long-term financial commitments that could burden future generations. The Ministry of Finance aims for a reform that is equitable, financially sustainable, and aligned with Romania's commitments under the PNRR.
