A cargo ship sank near Istanbul after colliding with an empty tanker, prompting a search for the missing crew members. The incident occurred in the Sea of Marmara, 18 nautical miles from Silivri. The cargo ship, Tuğberk İmamoğlu, was transporting steel when it sank shortly after the collision. Authorities dispatched 14 search and rescue vessels and a helicopter to the area. Equipment from the Tuğberk İmamoğlu was found, but the crew was not located. The tanker ALSU, which reported the collision, was also involved in the rescue efforts.
