Yemeni authorities reported that two anti-Houthi rescuers also died in the attack. The Houthis claimed to target a vessel carrying Saudi military equipment, but did not disclose its name. The UK Maritime Trade Operations reported an incident involving an unknown projectile hitting a ship. The cargo ship was identified as Tihamah, with casualties including three Pakistanis and one Indonesian, while ten others were injured.
