Natalitatea din România, la cel mai scăzut nivel din ultimii 100 de ani. Ce județe riscă să rămână pustii

Romania faces a significant decline in birth rates, reaching the lowest levels in a century. Many young people are leaving rural areas for better opportunities in cities, leading to concerns about population decline in counties like Hunedoara, Brăila, and Teleorman. The death rate in these regions often exceeds the birth rate, exacerbating the issue. In Gorj County, for instance, there were over 3,700 deaths compared to only 1,955 births last year. The rural youth population is dwindling, with many delaying family formation due to economic challenges. Authorities express frustration over their inability to address this demographic crisis effectively.
