NASA a descoperit un crater nou pe Lună, mai mare decât Colosseumul din Roma

NASA has identified a new, massive crater on the Moon, formed by a significant impact two years ago, which went unnoticed until now. This crater, measuring approximately 222 meters in diameter and 43 meters deep, is the largest recently discovered in the solar system. It was created when the Moon was struck by a comet or asteroid between April and May 2024. Such large impacts are estimated to occur only once every 132 years, making this discovery valuable for future lunar exploration. The crater, named 'McGetchin' after a prominent lunar geophysicist, is three times larger than the previous record holder and surpasses the size of the Colosseum in Rome.
