The city of Sfântu Gheorghe will officially open the "Steaua Roșie" Museum, dedicated to the communist era, on October 21. This modern and interactive space aims to confront the past and understand its lasting effects on society. Located in a former tobacco warehouse, the museum spans 3,000 square meters and offers a multimedia experience of history. Funded by the PNRR with approximately 12 million euros, it features a collection of items from 1948-1989, gathered through a public campaign. Over 160 individuals contributed various artifacts, enriching the exhibition focused on Central and Eastern Europe's communist history, particularly Romania's.
