In 2025, 187,744 companies declared insolvency, marking a nearly 10% increase from the previous year. The hospitality sector was particularly hard hit, with around 15,000 establishments closing, while the healthcare sector also saw a rise in closures due to retiring professionals. Industrial insolvencies increased by 10%, reflecting broader economic difficulties and a shortage of skilled labor.
