The international diesel price has surged past $1,400 per ton, influenced by geopolitical tensions and export restrictions from Russia. The market is under pressure, with record refining margins and a significant deficit in diesel supply. The Finance Ministry recently announced another excise cut to mitigate the impact of rising fuel costs on consumers, but this is the last reduction allowed under current legislation.
