Fuel prices are rising rapidly, with standard diesel reaching a historic high of 10.68 lei/liter at Lukoil in Bucharest. This increase follows three consecutive price hikes in one day, surpassing the previous record of 10.53 lei/liter. In just 24 hours, diesel prices rose by 40 bani, and since the beginning of the week, the increase has exceeded 75 bani/liter in some stations. The price surge is attributed to regional supply tensions and rising international oil prices due to disruptions in Kazakh oil flows. Lukoil was the first to exceed the psychological threshold of 10 lei/liter for diesel, with significant increases noted throughout the week across major distribution networks.
