For the first time in over a year, diesel prices in Europe have surpassed aviation fuel prices due to supply challenges. Europe is replacing reduced Middle Eastern aviation fuel supplies with imports from the US and Nigeria, while facing a decline in diesel imports. The situation has led to a significant increase in diesel prices, which are now only 14% below April's highs, while aviation fuel prices remain 25% below March records. The discount for aviation fuel compared to diesel futures is the largest since July 2025.
