Motorina a coborât sub pragul de 10 lei/litru la unele benzinării, după reducerea accizei cu 20%
Starting August 16, the Romanian government has temporarily reduced the excise tax on standard diesel by 20%, leading to lower prices at major gas stations. Diesel prices dropped below 10 lei per liter at Petrom and Socar, while other stations like OMV and MOL saw smaller reductions. The measure aims to mitigate the impact of rising international fuel prices. The reduction is valid until August 31, and if fully passed to consumers, it could save around 34 lei for a 50-liter fill-up. However, gasoline prices remain unchanged as they are not affected by this tax cut.
