Record low water levels in the Danube River in Budapest have uncovered a nearly intact Wehrmacht motorcycle from World War II, along with other munitions. The motorcycle, a DKW NZ 350-1 model, was found in the riverbed near the Hungarian Parliament. This rare discovery is considered a once-in-a-century event by military history experts. The motorcycle was produced starting in 1944, with around 12,000 units made by Auto Union AG. Other wartime remnants, including German anti-tank mines and artillery shells, were also discovered, indicating the area may have served as a war debris deposit. Similar finds have occurred in Serbia and Bulgaria due to the low water levels.
