Around 67 people embarked on a hitchhiking journey from Germany to Romania, aiming to revive the popularity of this travel method. Participants travel in teams and must reach various checkpoints, with camping arranged at the final destination. The event, held annually since 2018, has seen different routes, including Spain and Estonia. While some express concerns about safety, many participants find hitchhiking to be a rewarding experience that fosters connections with locals. However, younger generations are increasingly opting for safer travel options, influenced by changing priorities and the availability of public transport.
