This day honors Azerbaijani military personnel who died in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The race weekend schedule has been adjusted accordingly, with media day on September 23, practice sessions on September 24 and 25, and the race on September 26. This is not the first time a Formula 1 race has been moved to Saturday, as it has occurred in the past for various reasons.
