Mormântul unui războinic de acum 2.000 de ani a fost descoperit în Rusia. Lângă el, un sacrificiu uman și o cupă care proteja de magie

Archaeologists in southern Russia uncovered a 2,000-year-old warrior's tomb, revealing weapons, a horse, and evidence of human sacrifice. The burial site, located in the Kuban region, contained luxury items, including two gold coins depicting Alexander the Great, indicating the warrior's elite status. The findings suggest the burial occurred in the early 1st century BC, linking the warrior to the Meotians, an indigenous people allied with the Mithridatic Empire. The gold coins, likely symbols of prestige rather than currency, were found in significant locations within the tomb. The burial practices reflect both Meotian beliefs and Greek influences from the neighboring Bosporan Kingdom.
