Mormânt etrusc vechi de 2.700 de ani, descoperit la nord de Roma

Archaeologists have uncovered a monumental tomb dating back 2,700 years in Vulci, Italy, containing a wealth of artifacts despite past looting attempts. The site, known as the "Tomb with Stone Chamber," was excavated this summer, revealing three burial chambers filled with weapons, gold and bronze plates, and rare items like a pair of women's shoes. This discovery is linked to earlier work by archaeologist Stephane Gsell in the 19th century, who identified the burial mound but could not locate the tomb itself. The new findings suggest the tomb is of high significance, possibly one of the largest in the area, and research will continue until 2027.
