Monument de peste șapte secole, salvat de la degradare: încep pregătirile pentru lucrări la Biserica Azilului

The Azilului Church in Sibiu will receive urgent funding for safety works, supported by the National Institute of Heritage. The church, over 700 years old, is in a state of advanced degradation and requires immediate structural interventions. The Sibiu County Council secured a non-reimbursable funding of 499,989 lei, ranking third among nine eligible projects. The total estimated cost of the works is around 630,000 lei, with the difference covered by the county's budget. The project aims to stabilize the church's structure, particularly the southern facade and annex vaults, ensuring the preservation of this historic monument.
