Axis Communications has introduced three new camera kits featuring the AXIS License Plate Verifier application for automatic license plate recognition and vehicle identification. These solutions are optimized for various scenarios, from access control in low-speed areas to traffic monitoring on multi-lane roads. Data processing occurs directly in the camera, simplifying installation and integration. The new models include AXIS P3285-LVE, AXIS P1485-LE, and AXIS P1486-LE, each tailored for specific use cases, with differences in camera construction, reading distance, monitored lanes, and vehicle speed capabilities. Depending on the model, the kits can read license plates of vehicles traveling at speeds of up to 30, 105, or 130 km/h from distances ranging from 2 to 30 meters.
