Moment istoric. Papa Leon a votat la alegerile din SUA, bifând cel puțin o premieră

Pope Leon XIV, born in Chicago, has made history by voting in the U.S. midterm elections, becoming the first pope to do so. He sent his ballot by mail, marking a significant milestone as he is also the first American citizen to hold the papacy. Leon XIV has previously participated in both Republican and Democratic primaries and has been registered to vote under his birth name. His voting comes amid ongoing tensions with the Trump administration over various issues, including immigration and military actions. Despite health challenges, including recent surgery for lung cancer, the pope plans to travel to South America soon.
