A significant milestone on the Lugoj-Deva Highway is approaching as the nearly 2-kilometer tunnel at Margina is set to be completed soon. The final concrete work is expected by the end of the year, allowing for continuous traffic from Sibiu to Western Europe in the first half of next year. Currently, only 28 meters remain to be excavated in one gallery and 80 meters in the other. Construction is ongoing with 900 workers, and the production of over 300 concrete beams for bridges is underway. If progress continues, the long-awaited completion of the highway section will soon be realized.
