Mocănița nu mai trece pe Valea Sadului, dar traseul ei renaște pentru bicicliști: pista este aproape gata
A new bicycle path has been completed in Sadu, Romania, following the old Mocănița railway route, connecting to the historic Sadu I hydroelectric plant. The 4.4 km asphalted trail, funded partly by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aims to promote cycling tourism and enhance local attractions. Plans include extending the path and linking it to other cycling routes, with a focus on celebrating the hydroelectric plant's 130th anniversary in 2026. The local authorities are also organizing events to commemorate this milestone, emphasizing the historical significance of the hydroelectric plant.
