The Cornățel and Alțâna train stations are being restored by volunteers, reviving the historical buildings of the former Sibiu–Sighișoara railway. This project aims to transform the area into a tourist attraction. The railway, over a century old, has seen significant restoration efforts, with seven kilometers of track reactivated for tourist trips. Recent work includes the reconstruction of the wooden depot in Cornățel and repairs at Alțâna station, both part of a heritage preservation initiative. The railway, which once thrived, fell into decline but is now experiencing a renaissance as a cultural and historical site.
