The relics of Saint Anne will be brought to Romania for the first time from Mount Athos, allowing believers to venerate them from September 5-10, 2026. The relics will be housed at the Saint George-New Church in Bucharest, with a welcoming ceremony scheduled for September 5. A series of liturgical services will take place throughout the week, including the Divine Liturgy and various Akathists dedicated to Saint Anne and other saints. The church will remain open daily for worshippers to pay their respects until the relics are returned to Mount Athos on September 10.
