The former manager of Botoșani Emergency County Hospital has reached a plea agreement with DNA prosecutors regarding fraud in hiring and transfers. He is accused of receiving bribes totaling €11,000 and gold jewelry worth over 22,000 lei. The manager allegedly approved transfers and hiring while manipulating competition conditions to favor certain candidates. He admitted to his actions and accepted a suspended three-year prison sentence and community service. The court will review the agreement, and assets worth €21,000 have been seized. Twelve others have also reached plea agreements in this case, with sentences ranging from one to two years and eight months, all suspended. The investigation continues for additional individuals.
