The Romanian firefighters' mission in France has been extended for two weeks to assist in wildfire suppression efforts. This decision was made by the National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) following a request from French authorities. A new contingent from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) will replace the current team in the Var department. The mission aims to limit the impact of wildfires and protect at-risk communities. Romanian firefighters have set up an operations base in Correns and are equipped with specialized vehicles and drones for monitoring.
