Miruță: Pasagerii trenurilor internaționale care au mai mult de o oră întârziere pot cere despăgubiri

The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, announced the launch of an online form for international train passengers to claim compensation for delays over one hour. Although European legislation allows Romania to avoid compensation payments until December 31, 2029, Miruță emphasized that compensation could be requested earlier, albeit through a cumbersome process. The new digital form aims to simplify this process, allowing passengers to easily submit their claims online. Miruță assured that CFR Călători will fulfill its obligation to pay compensation when responsible. In 2025, passenger trains accumulated over 6.3 million minutes of delays, highlighting the need for this initiative.
