Miruță: Dronele nu au intrat în spațiul aerian românesc

On July 29, 2026, Romania's Ministry of National Defense reported a new aerial target near the Ukrainian border, prompting an air alert. Two F-16 aircraft were deployed for monitoring, and the alert was lifted by 11:30 AM. Interim Defense Minister Radu Miruță confirmed that the detected target did not enter Romanian airspace and emphasized that alerts are issued as a precaution. He noted that recent military procedures have improved, leading to successful interceptions of unauthorized drones in the national airspace. Last week, three drones were shot down after entering Romanian airspace.
