Ministrul Educaţiei explică rezultatele slabe la testele PISA: Noi dăm teste pe hârtie, PISA e pe calculator

The Romanian Education Minister, Mihai Dimian, attributes poor PISA test results to the difference between paper-based national assessments and computer-based PISA tests. He noted that the evaluations reflect a longer educational evolution, impacted by the pandemic. Dimian emphasized the need for students to better apply their knowledge in real-life situations and highlighted the development of over 2,500 science laboratories to help bridge the gap with OECD countries. He pointed out that Romanian assessments are primarily paper-based, which affects students' performance in digital competencies. Additionally, 100,000 teachers have been trained in digital pedagogy to enhance education.
