Ministrul Economiei intenţionează să reorganizeze compania Romarm şi cele 15 filiale într-un holding industrial integrat în domeniul apărării

The interim Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, announced plans to reorganize the state-owned company Romarm SA into an integrated industrial holding in the defense sector. This decision aims to enhance competitiveness and eliminate unnecessary subsidies. Currently, Romarm acts mainly as a commercial intermediary with less than 20% stake in most subsidiaries. Darău emphasized the urgency of this reorganization, stating that a decision should be made by the end of the year to ensure the survival of Romarm and its subsidiaries. He also noted that the current structure does not comply with existing legislation and that changes are necessary for the future of Romania's defense industry.
