Ministrul Apărării: Intervenția pe Dunăre a permis prelungirea cu șapte zile a funcționării reactorului 2 de la Cernavodă

Interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, stated that interventions to raise the Danube's water level allowed Cernavodă's reactor 2 to operate for an additional week. He emphasized that these measures were temporary and did not solve the underlying issue of low water levels. The actions were taken at specific locations identified by experts to extend the reactor's operation. Miruță noted that the government had to resort to these interventions due to a blocked long-term project. He highlighted the importance of the additional operational time for the reactor's output and mentioned that similar solutions are being explored in Hungary.
