Miniștrii român și spaniol ai apărării, în vizită la Baza Aeriană de la Mihail Kogălniceanu

On September 16, Romanian Defense Minister Radu Miruță and General Gheorghiță Vlad met with Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles and General Teodoro López Calderón at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base. They discussed bilateral relations, regional security, and NATO and EU cooperation opportunities. Miruță expressed gratitude for Spain's role in enhancing security in the Black Sea region, especially following recent drone incidents. He praised Spanish pilots for their contributions to air policing in Romania. The ministers emphasized the importance of continued support for Ukraine and discussed contributions to EU missions under the Common Security and Defense Policy. They agreed to strengthen political-military dialogue for future cooperation.
