Ministerul Transporturilor a aprobat investiția municipalității Timișoara, pentru proiectul trenului metropolitan

The partnership between Timișoara City Hall and CFR aims to develop an urban train system to enhance daily commuting. This initiative will connect surrounding localities to Timișoara, integrating with existing public transport. The project includes modernizing current train lines and constructing new segments, with identified routes and station locations. Facilities for bicycles, parking, and pedestrian access will be included, along with intermodal connections. Timișoara will finance the technical documentation and necessary approvals, while CFR will manage railway infrastructure and construction efforts.
